About Jonathon

ABOUT
IMG_6687.jpg

Hi, I’m Jonathon Zarb, a Registered Psychotherapist based in Ontario.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to work in a variety of settings—including acute healthcare, youth treatment, and private practice—supporting individuals, couples, and families through many of life’s most challenging and meaningful experiences.

I hold a Master of Pastoral Studies in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto’s Knox College and an Honours BA in Sexual Diversity Studies and Sociology. These studies shaped my belief that therapy should honour both the emotional and spiritual dimensions of who we are.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques to meet each person where they are—whether you're seeking insight, support, tools for change, or simply space to breathe and reflect.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment where healing, growth, and connection can take root.

SUPPORT

How I Can Support You

IMG_6594.jpeg

We all carry stories—about ourselves, our relationships, and our place in the world. Sometimes those stories feel overwhelming or unclear. Therapy is a space to slow down, tune in, and begin to understand your inner world in a new way.

In our work together, I help you make sense of your emotions, your patterns, and your relationships, so you can move through life with greater intention and self-awareness. It’s also a space to build a stronger, more grounded sense of self—especially if you’ve spent a long time taking care of others, questioning your worth, or feeling unsure of who you are.

Whether you're facing a transition, experiencing stress or disconnection, or simply wanting to understand yourself more fully, I’m here to support you with care, curiosity, and compassion.

What to Expect

EXPECT

In our sessions, we might:

  • Explore emotional patterns and what they’re trying to tell you.

  • Use mindfulness tools to help you stay grounded and present in challenging moments.

  • Reflect on family dynamics and how they’ve shaped your view of yourself and others.

  • Create space for grief, anxiety, or anger—not to fix or rush through them, but to understand them.

  • Strengthen your relationships and communication, especially when things feel stuck or strained.

  • Support your exploration of identity, spirituality, sexuality, or purpose.

  • Clarify your values and boundaries, helping you make choices that align with a more authentic sense of self.

CLIENTS

Who I Work With

I work with people across Ontario who are ready to explore, heal, and grow. This includes:

  • Individuals navigating stress, anxiety, grief, identity, or life transitions

  • Couples and relationship partners—whether monogamous or non-monogamous—seeking deeper connection, improved communication, or support through conflict

  • Families looking to improve understanding, connection, and resilience

  • Youth and young adults facing mental health challenges, identity development, or family stress

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of who they are. My work supports people in developing a clearer, more confident sense of self, so they can relate to the world from a place of inner stability rather than confusion or fear.
